Glamping pod main frame construction:

Every pod is built from the frame up in our own workshop. The construction below is what comes as standard, before any of the fit-out choices you make.

150 mm x 50 mm tanalised floor joists and ridge
100 mm x 50 mm tanalised stud frame walls and roof
100 mm x 50 mm tanalised laminated arch form end section
Main frame covered with Juta ultra-breathable membrane

Specification

Roof material

The roof and the cladding are where a pod either lasts or lets you down. Ours are built to take a British winter without complaint.

Roof and cladding

Exterior grade ply covered with Permaroof rubber roofing system finished with artificial grass decorative surface
Exterior cladding 19.5 mm finished size tanalised T and G log lap.
Interior cladding 18 mm finished size T and G pine

Insulation, doors and windows

Insulation is 100 mm thick Ecotherm insulation
Oak double-glazed French doors are supplied as standard
Extra windows fitted as an optional extra on flat walls or in the roof (will incur extra cost)
